It's all over but the crying, for Al Gore. Fool. This interview with a respected scientist in Australia reveals why he's been curiously quiet lately. Because he is, has been, and always will be: Full of Shit.

A great many founts of authority, from the Royal Society to the UN, most heads of government along with countless captains of industry, learned professors, commentators and journalists will be profoundly embarrassed. Let us hope it is a prolonged and chastening experience.

With catastrophe off the agenda, for most people the fog of millennial gloom will lift, at least until attention turns to the prospect of the next ice age. Among the better educated, the sceptical cast of mind that is the basis of empiricism will once again be back in fashion. The delusion that by recycling and catching public transport we can help save the planet will quickly come to be seen for the childish nonsense it was all along.

Say It Ain't So, Jack Bauer!

It may sound like a publicity stunt, but Fox spokesman Chris Anderson says the network isn't after bigger ratings. "We are publicizing '24's' commitment to climate change for two reasons and two reasons only: to inspire the public to take global warming seriously and hopefully to motivate other studios to make changes to their production practices as well," he says.

I've got NO problem with businesses voluntarily reducing greenhouse gases smog. It's a wonderfully environmental thing to do. But when the GOVT. creates costly financial regulations designed to meet Kyoto ( read Dumb-ass Arnold Schwarzeneggar, GWBush, & Tony Blair) that's when it's time to call time-out.

Just how much of the "Greenhouse Effect" is caused by human activity?

It is about 0.28%, if water vapor is taken into account-- about 5.53%, if not.

This point is so crucial to the debate over global warming that how water vapor is or isn't factored into an analysis of Earth's greenhouse gases makes the difference between describing a significant human contribution to the greenhouse effect, or a negligible one.

Water vapor constitutes Earth's most significant greenhouse gas, accounting for about 95% of Earth's greenhouse effect (4). Interestingly, many "facts and figures' regarding global warming completely ignore the powerful effects of water vapor in the greenhouse system, carelessly (perhaps, deliberately) overstating human impacts as much as 20-fold.

Why I Get Riled Up About Global Warming

Transcript from a recent caller to the Dennis Prager Show:

Caller: I didn’t know if you realized how far this goofiness reached, but I have asthma, and I’m sure you’ve seen people with their little rescue inhalers. Right now, each inhaler is about $15 bucks. I don’t have insurance. I am an uninsured American. So it’s about $15 bucks. They are phasing out these particular inhalers because of these EPA rules, because the propellant that launches the medication down into my lungs is causing such a severe global hazard, that now my medication is going to triple in cost, because they have to use a new kind of propellant or accelerant, because of these new rules and regulations.

Dennis: I consider this to be one of the more important calls in the recent past. You do not realize how the poor will suffer, and I don’t mean Kevin is poor, though I suspect he’s not rich, given that he’s not insured. But you do not realize how…the Ted Turners won’t suffer, the Al Gores won’t suffer. But the middle class will suffer, and the poor, there’s a piece in the Wall Street Journal today about the poor paying more in Mexico for corn tortillas, because of all the ethanol now being extracted by corn, and corn is a staple. You know how idiotic that is? That he will have to triple his expenditure on his asthma inhaler? Do you know how nutty you have to be to believe that asthma inhalers are affecting the temperature of the Earth? The propellant is going into his lungs anyway.

It's this kinda B.S. that will hurt the poor in the world, while letting all the rich people feel better because at 'least they tried to stop global warming." Kyoto will cost 5 times more than the Iraq war and slow down temperature growth less than a tenth of a degree....

By the way, CO2 doesn't cause warming.... Warming Causes CO2......CO2 levels to go up AFTER warming has occurred.Al Gore is 180 .... uh... degrees ass backward on this one... And he knows it.

Another fun fact: 95% of the time in the last billion years, there were NO glaciers ANYWHERE on Earth? If we ignore Kyoto, the ocean will rise about 3.6 millimeters (the thickness of a nickel) this, and every year, for the next century, whether we drive Prius's or Hummers ..... For SMOG REDUCTION, Right On, Prius Drivers!!!

If you stack up 1000 nickels, to represent THIS MILLENIUM, people in the year 3007 will have to deal with an ocean that rose 150 inches.. or 12.5 feet. Gore says 20 feet in 50 years.... hmmmmm..

The Debate Is Indeed Over: It's Not OUR Fault

Realclimate.com is a liberal-leaning site, to say the least. It had an announcement about a 3 on 3 debate to be broadcast on radio and the web. It happened today. They polled the audience as they entered the facility on their beliefs.

All the watermelons (Green on outside, red on inside) were bragging about how they would annihilate us deniers... They even wondered amonsgst themselves if they should EVEN BOTHER giving deniers any attention at all, as the Gorrifier has already declared the issue settled.

The proposition was: "Global Warming Is Not a Crisis." In a vote before the debate, about 30 percent of the audience agreed with the motion, while 57 percent were against and 13 percent undecided. The debate seemed to affect a number of people:

So, 17 percent of the audience saw the light, and switched sides......
And the MAJORITY left the room feeling much better about our little globe.

Moore calls global warming the "most difficult issue facing the scientific community today in terms of being able to actually predict with any kind of accuracy what's going to happen"^[6]. While acknowledging that the increase of carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere is caused by human consumption of fossil fuels, he claims that as of 2006, it cannot be fully proven that this is the reason the Earth has been warming since 1980.^{[citation needed]} He stresses that it is scientific evidence, not consensus opinion, that would prove or disprove this relation.

"It's become so complicated, there's so much snake oil around the whole subject... the best comment that was ever made was by Michael Crichton in his book State of Fear: 'I am certain there is too much certainty in the world'. And I am certain that he is right."^[6]

...There's too much money being made by people telling us we're all goin' underwater. You'll feel much better about the globe after watching the video, but a bit angrier at humans...Remember the SCIENTISTS telling us Y2K COULD be the end of the world as we knew it?
